Job description
Production ManagerThis position is responsible for the management of production work orders and resource management, ensuring timely and accurate job completion, as well as maintaining all relevant information, including costs.Essential duties and responsibilities include:Creating job orders at the appropriate quantity and due dates, and with the appropriate lead time, in order to meet customer demandCreating transfer orders for the appropriate quantity and timing to ensure material is delivered between facilities appropriatelyConfirming new job orders agree to the template including minimum order quantity, revision levels, completion dates and pricingMonitoring available capacity as well as demand at each work center to ensure production schedules are achievableOverseeing, managing, and scheduling all customer orders to the production floor, including daily review and management of workcenter production schedulesIdentifying inventory shortages that will prevent timely completion of job orders and developing effective responses to those shortages, including working with the Purchasing or Sales teams to reschedule deliveriesAssisting in timely and accurate job transaction reporting and closure to contribute to the organization's cost structure and profitabilityWorking with Sales and Inventory to set stocking quantities for contract items for inventory level maintenanceDaily review of material planning reports to ensure material is ordered or jobs are created to meet all production requirementsFollowing jobs and collaborating with Production Assistants to ensure kitting is complete prior to the job scheduled start dateEnsuring work center staffing and capacity is accurately reflected in the ERPReviewing item master data, including but not limited to planner codes and lead times, to ensure proper handling of supply and demand by the ERPChallenging the status quo by developing and recommending modification to existing processes and methodologies with a constant focus on continuous improvementAssisting in other areas of the production department if neededQualifications include:Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain OR 5 years of experience working in a Manufacturing EnvironmentMust be able to work onsite full time in our plant in Seguin, TexasProduction control or customer service experienceManufacturing exposure/experienceDetail oriented, with exceptional organizational skillsMust possess effective written and verbal communication skillsMust be able to navigate in a windows-based computer environmentExperience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word12 Expected Behaviors of Actively Engaged Person, 100% Responsible, Trustworthy, Team Player, Clear Communicator, Empathy, Humility, Emotional Self-Control, Resolves Conflict Directly, Positive Attitude, Respects Others, Problem Solver, and Agile.
