Job description
Production PlannerKey ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts, capacity, and material availability.Maintain and continuously refine core ERP/MRP planning parameters (lead times, safety stock, lot sizes, routing accuracy, and BOM structure) to drive planning accuracy.Analyze complex production datasets, capacity constraints, and operational bottlenecks to improve throughput, minimize downtime, and reduce total manufacturing lead times.Translate strategic plans into executable production schedules that maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.Collaborate daily with Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Finance, and Production leadership to align schedules, resolve material shortages, and ensure strict schedule adherence.Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes by synthesizing historical performance data and operational metrics into actionable supply strategies.Apply data literacy to identify operational trends, driving continuous improvement initiatives across scheduling efficiency and facility utilization.Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution.2–7+ years of hands-on experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations within an ERP-driven environmentQualificationsStrong understanding of capacity planning, finite scheduling, and production flow.Experience working in an ERP/MRP environment (e.g., GSS, Business Dynamics, SAP, or similar).Ability to analyze data and translate it into actionable production strategies.Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsCompensation Range (Required)Base Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000Work EnvironmentMajority of work is performed in a manufacturing environment with noise levels within safety limits and acceptable lighting and temperature conditions.Work Authorization/Security ClearanceTo conform to U.S. Government export control regulations and the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information restrictions, applicant must be a U.S citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorization from the U.S. Department of State or Department of Commerce.This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time.Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.About GlobeGlobe Composite Solutions designs, engineers and manufactures high performance composites for Defense, Marine, and Industrial applications.Originally founded in 1890 as a rubber company in downtown Boston, Globe has evolved into a full-service, design-to-manufacturing company with a passion to meet demanding performance requirements for a wide variety of applications.
