Production & Shop AssistantLike working with your hands? Hate doing the same thing all day? You might be exactly who we're looking for. Signarama is looking for a dependable, hands-on Production & Shop Assistant to join our Fond du Lac team. This isn't a desk job or a stand-in-one-place-doing-the-same-thing-all-day job. Every day is different. One hour you might be receiving materials. The next you could be cutting sign panels, helping assemble a sign, packaging a finished project, making a delivery or getting tomorrow's installations staged and ready. No sign experience? That's okay. We can teach you. We're looking for someone who is dependable, likes to work, pays attention to details and takes pride in doing things right.What You'll DoShipping and receiving materials and finished productsCheck incoming materials for accuracy and damagePackage signs and graphics for delivery, pickup or installationPerform quality-control checks on completed workOrganize and stage finished jobsHelp ensure installation crews have the signs and components they needCut boards, panels and sign substratesAssist with sign and component assemblyUse basic hand and power toolsMake local deliveries and vendor pickupsSafely load and transport signs and materialsOrganize tools, materials and suppliesKeep production, receiving and staging areas clean and organizedJump in wherever needed to keep production movingWho We're Looking For You'll probably be a great fit if you:Like working with your hands and making thingsAre mechanically inclined and comfortable with basic toolsCan read a tape measureNotice when something doesn't look rightAre organized and pay attention to detailsCan work independently without constant directionShow up reliably and work with a sense of urgencyTake pride in doing things correctlyEnjoy variety and learning new skillsExperience in manufacturing, construction, warehousing, shipping/receiving, fabrication, woodworking, automotive or assembly is a plus, but not required. Attitude, dependability and willingness to learn matter to us. This position includes local deliveries and material pickups. A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record that meets company insurance requirements are mandatory. You must be able to stand and move throughout the workday; bend, reach, push and pull materials; safely lift approximately 50 lbs.; and help handle larger products with other team members.
