Production Supervisor (1st Shift)- Centralia, MODate: Sep 28, 2026Location: Centralia, MO, US, 65240Company: Hubbell IncorporatedJob Overview: Responsible for all aspects of the production operation: personnel, safety, productivity, quality and on-time delivery to customers for the assigned operation. This will be a 1st shift position, working the following hours 6:30am - 2:30pmA Day In The Life:Maintain safe working environment consistent with OSHA and Hubbell Corporate requirements.Ensure effective employee relations.Provide employee mentorship and development.Make employment decisions.Resolve employee issues through problem resolution and working with union representation.Ensure schedule alignment; department employees are present at the beginning of each shift and in work areas.Ensure manning is in agreement with the scheduled priority.Balance quality, effectivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.Work towards Continuous Improvement.Supervise employee development including: training, procedural and JSA alignment.Perform investigations for safety including: near misses, first aides and OSHA issues.Recommend actions to prevent reoccurrences of incidents.Coordinate with Human Resources and operations manager any disciplinary actions which might be required.Spend 75% of shift on the production floor in assigned department.Leadership: ability to lead people and get results through others.Supervision: including employee hiring and retention, performance reviews, disciplinary actions and shift reports.Run and maintain attendance records in E-time.Inventory management and production recording in SAPWhat will help you thrive in this role? EDUCATION, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE:REQUIRED:High School DiplomaPrevious leadership role in manufacturing environment; Supervisory experience.PREFERRED:Bachelor's Degree in Management or other related programLean trainingProficiency in MS Office; SAP a plusLEVEL OF DECISION MAKING:Recommendation of staffing requirements based on sales forecast.Shared/recommended decisions concerning capital expenditures.Hubbell Incorporated Hubbell creates critical infrastructure solutions that power our customers, communities, people and the planet.
