Production SupervisorAre you a manufacturing leader who enjoys developing people, solving problems, and keeping production moving? Vandor Funeral Products is looking for a Production Supervisor to join our Hardwoods manufacturing team. Your responsibilities will include:Lead and directly supervise Team Leaders while supporting the development and performance of production Team MembersOrganize staffing and allocate Team Members based on changing production demandsCoordinate daily production priorities, schedules, job start-ups, and workflowCoach, train, and develop Team Leaders and Team Members, including supporting cross-training across production areasMonitor daily production, quality, safety, and operational performance and take action when improvements are neededPartner with Production Planning to ensure production priorities align with current and future customer needsWork closely with Maintenance to troubleshoot equipment and manufacturing issues and minimize production delaysIdentify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, cost, and overall production performanceMonitor equipment utilization and support preventative maintenance effortsBuild a positive, accountable team culture where communication and collaboration are encouragedEnsure company procedures, work instructions, safety requirements, and production standards are consistently followedThe position has meaningful responsibility for both the operation and its people, including direct supervision of Team Leaders and continuous improvement of quality and cost performance.RequirementsWhat We're Looking ForWe're looking for a leader who can balance people leadership with production results. The right candidate will be comfortable making decisions, addressing problems on the floor, communicating expectations, and motivating a team to perform at its best.Qualifications:3–5 years of manufacturing management experienceHigh school diploma or GED with additional relevant education or experiencePrevious experience working in a production/manufacturing environment.Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, train, motivate, and hold others accountableStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesEffective written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on training othersAbility to work collaboratively across departments while also making independent decisionsExcellent computer skills and the ability to learn and utilize technology needed to support productionAbility to successfully complete Vandor's Forklift Certification program and safely operate a Forklift for day-to-day production needs.Work EnvironmentThis is a hands-on manufacturing leadership position that requires significant time on the production floor.
