Through global reach and breakthrough inventions, we're delivering products that enable the world to breathe easier, live greener, and go further than ever before.With over 60 manufacturing facilities with a global workforce of over 9,000 of the industry's most experienced talent, including insulation and filtration experts, Alkegen is uniquely positioned to help customers impact the environment in meaningful ways.Responsibilities:Evaluate machine resources to ensure productivity and minimal downtime.Establish production schedule on 1st shift to meet customer and shipping deadlinesStrive to increase productivity across all product lines.Maintain and help enhance all aspects around Corporate and Plant Safety policies and programs.Continue to improve leadership abilities in or to increase subordinate's skills and capabilities.Responsible for training, process improvements, KPI reporting, employee relations all production areas on 1st shiftParticipate in all cross functional team activities including but not limited to Safety, Process Engineering, Quality, Scheduling, Maintenance, Union/Management, and Monthly Ops review.Engage in and promote participation in Safety Awareness, VCP's, Process Mapping, Kaizens, and Recognition to lead a culture changing with a winning attitude and greater acceptance around change.Work with Production Manager to create schedules for employees to ensure optimum staffing levels.Responsible for yearly vacation scheduling of Manufacturing Hourly employees.Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.Champion of safety, health, and environmental issuesCompetencies and Qualifications:Manufacturing experienceStrong written and verbal communication skillsBasic math skillsHighly motivatedStrong time management and priorities management skillsAnalytical and problem-solving skillsComputer literate with knowledge of Excel.
