Job description
Production SupervisorLINDAR is looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join our team and help lead our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for supporting daily production, developing and coaching employees, maintaining quality and safety standards, and helping the team achieve production goals.The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, has strong mechanical aptitude, and knows how to build a team while holding people accountable.What You'll DoLead and supervise the production team to successfully execute daily production plans and schedules.Communicate effectively with production teams and department leadership to keep operations running smoothly.Monitor production performance and ensure accurate, timely completion of production records and documentation.Ensure employees follow established work instructions, standard practices, safety requirements, and company procedures.Coordinate machine setups with the Setup Technician team to minimize downtime and keep production moving.Partner with the Quality team to ensure timely first-article approvals, product inspections, and overall product quality.Plan and coordinate break coverage to maintain production efficiency.Promote Lean principles and encourage employee participation in continuous improvement, safety, and Lean initiatives.Participate in interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new team members.Support employee training, development, and cross-training to build a stronger, more flexible team.Review and approve timecards and manage employee schedules and PTO.Provide coaching and feedback, monitor performance improvement plans, and recommend corrective action when needed.Participate in employee performance reviews and help team members reach their full potential.Serve as a positive, visible leader who promotes teamwork, accountability, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.What We're Looking ForLeadership & CommunicationStrong leadership and team-building skills.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Ability to coach, develop, and motivate employees.Ability to hold team members accountable while maintaining positive working relationships.Manufacturing & Technical SkillsStrong mechanical aptitude.Solid understanding of work instructions, Bills of Materials (BOMs), production schedules, and product information.Understanding of production data, metrics, and data collection methods.Ability to identify problems, prioritize effectively, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience preferred.Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.Proven ability to lead and develop a strong production team.Experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.What You Can ExpectA professional, clean manufacturing environment.A hands-on leadership role with the opportunity to make a direct impact on production, quality, safety, and employee development.A fast-paced environment where teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement are valued.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds.Ability to spend significant time walking and standing throughout the manufacturing facility.ScheduleThis is a full-time, exempt position, generally working 40–50 hours per week, based on business and production needs.LINDAR is looking for a leader who is ready to roll up their sleeves, support their team, and help us continue to improve.
