Production SupervisorHiFyve is partnering with an automotive manufacturer to hire Production Supervisors for their manufacturing facility in Columbus, Nebraska. This is a hands-on opportunity supporting highly automated production equipment in a modern manufacturing environment with excellent earning potential and long-term career growth.Position DetailsLocation: Columbus, NESalary: $60,000 to $90,000 annuallySchedule: Monday through Friday, with weekend overtime as neededSecond Shift: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PMPosition OverviewA Tier 1 automotive components manufacturer is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead hourly production employees in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.This position is responsible for daily production activities, employee performance, productivity, quality, safety, staffing, and training. The Production Supervisor will work directly on the plant floor and must be comfortable managing production quotas, deadlines, and changing operational priorities.ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise hourly production employees within the assigned departmentCoordinate daily work assignments and production schedulesMonitor production output to ensure quality, productivity, and deadline expectations are metCoach, develop, and train production employeesReview employee performance and administer company policies and work rulesPromote positive employee relations and maintain open communication between employees and managementCreate and oversee employee training schedulesEvaluate manufacturing workstations and processes for safety, quality, and efficiencyCompile, review, and analyze production recordsIdentify production issues and implement appropriate corrective actionsRecommend equipment upgrades, staffing adjustments, and process improvementsEnsure equipment, materials, labor, and other resources are used efficientlyMaintain compliance with IATF 16949 quality standardsEnforce plant safety requirements and established operating proceduresMaintain a clean and safe working environmentModel professional behavior and set clear expectations for employeesCommunicate effectively with employees, management, customers, and suppliersPerform additional duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experienceAt least 3 years of experience within automotive manufacturingPrevious experience supervising hourly production employeesKnowledge of IATF 16949 quality standardsExperience managing productivity, quality, employee performance, training, and staffingStrong leadership, coaching, and employee-relations skillsAbility to analyze production issues and make sound operational decisionsWorking knowledge of manufacturing safety requirementsStrong computer and time-management skillsAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of the organizationComfortable working in a team-oriented, deadline-driven manufacturing environmentAbility to work second or third shift and weekend overtime as neededWork EnvironmentThis position regularly works on an active manufacturing floor. The environment is fast-paced and production-driven, with responsibility for meeting daily quality, safety, and output expectations.Physical RequirementsWhile performing this position, the employee will regularly use their hands and fingers to handle or operate objects, tools, and controls. The employee will frequently walk, stand, kneel, crouch, reach, speak, and hear.The position may occasionally require lifting or moving up to 40 pounds.
