Production Supervisor (2nd Shift)Location: Leeds, AL 35094 (100% Onsite) Pay rate: $34.00 - $35.00/hr Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM CST (40.0 hours/week) Temporary assignment with high potential to convert to Temp-to-Hire / FTE based on rapid facility growthOverview: The Production Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations and manages hourly production personnel during the 2nd shift at the Leeds, AL facility. Reporting through plant leadership, this position drives continuous improvement initiatives aimed at boosting productivity, enhancing operational effectiveness, and minimizing manufacturing costs. The supervisor leads team leads and shop floor employees to achieve safety, quality, service, and output targets within budgetary parameters, while handling daily labor relations, workforce training, disciplinary actions, and data reporting.Job Specifications:Supervise hourly production personnel and direct team lead persons in guiding, assigning, and monitoring daily work activitiesMaintain a flexible, well-trained workforce while managing interpersonal employee relations, work rule enforcement, labor relations, and disciplinary actionsDrive daily operations to meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) across plant safety, product quality, service delivery, and productivityCompile, track, and maintain operational data and production reports using Microsoft Excel, Access, and enterprise applicationsHigh School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering) preferredMinimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment requiredDemonstrated real-world problem-solving experience and strong verbal and written communication skills requiredProficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) requiredPrior experience with welding processes and fabrication strongly preferredExperience working within an ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) and SAP ERP system preferredExperience writing and revising standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, forms, and visual aids preferredSubmittal & Compliance Requirements:Background Check Package: First Advantage Standard Package (Non-Exempt/Hourly Package + Education Verification)Drug Screen Package: Supplier-administered Drug Screen or standard Non-Exempt Drug PackageCandidate Vetting: Candidates must possess a solid understanding of the company's manufacturing operations prior to applying to ensure strong long-term alignment.Clean candidate resume submittal without supplier logos, header branding, or source linksBenefits: Health insurance Health savings account Dental insurance Vision insurance Flexible spending accounts Life insurance Retirement plan All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
