Job description
Job DescriptionResponsible for the effective planning, directing and coordinating all aspects of the operations procedures. This includes scheduling, training, and productivity of the employees;
quality of the products;
safety compliance efforts;
equipment effectivenessand safety.
\ NResponsibilities:
\ N Ensure availability of materials based on projected requirements.
\ N Administer company policies, work rules, and labor contracts in a fair and consistent manner.
\ N Meet Quality goals relating to food safety and quality, as well as internal and external audit results improvements.
\ N Ensure work is performed in compliance with HACCP regulations, quality specifications, and USDA guidelines.
\ N Make recommendations for improvements to procedures, methods, facilities, equipment, and other matter relating to the effectiveness of the production areas.
\ N Coordinate and supervises activities of the personnel and determine work assignments efficiently.
\ N Complete orientation and training thoroughly, timely, and effectively.
\ N Meet all efficiency goals related to yields, labor costs and inedible.
\ N Provide effective leadership and direction adhering to safety policies and meeting safety goals.
\ N OH Costs (Indirect labor & supply costs) are controlled as directed.
\ N Complete administrativefunctions accurately and timely.
\ N Effectively communicates and collaborates with all departments.
\ N Must be able to work 10-hour days and 6 to 7-day weeks as needed.
\ N Accept special projectsand completes them promptly.
\ N Basic Qualifications:
\ NEducation: High school diploma or equivalent
\ NExperience or Training: High level of organizational and communication skills with the ability to motivate and direct people.
\ NTechnology/Equipment: Strong computer skills with a high level of proficiency in MS office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
\ NPreferred Qualifications:
\ NExperience or Training: 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in conflict resolution and experience working in a union environment.
\ NTechnology/Equipment: Experience with an ERP system in a manufacturing environment.
