Production SupervisorFerroWorks, has locations in Pittsburgh, McKees Rocks, and Kutztown, PA which have been in continuous operations since 1869, the same year the first US transcontinental railroad was completed. We have been able to meet the needs of our customers with a steady, dependable and economical supply of high-quality railroad industry products.McConway and Torley is hiring for a Production Supervisor position in our Cleaning and Finishing Department. In this position you will manage the day to day activities of the C&F team, including inventory and equipment. You will lead a team to ensure the group is always working effectively and efficiently.Location: Lawrenceville, PAShift: 10pm-6amSome of your key responsibilities will include:Hiring, training, and coaching Grinders, Welders, and other C&F StaffEnsuring compliance with all safety and quality requirementsInspect and verify work is meeting our standardsImplement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce wasteDevelop and maintain an accurate inventory of criticalRequired Qualifications:Minimum 3 years in production leadership or related manufacturing experiencePreferred Qualifications:Proven leadership skills and experience managing a production teamStrong understanding of manufacturing processes of pattern and core boxesAbility to understand and utilize computer applications including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPointStrong technical aptitude and ability to troubleshootStrong communication skillsEducation:High School Diploma or GED is requiredAssociates Degree or applicable related work experience is preferredWorking Conditions:Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidaysAbility to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plantSafety Activities:Be aware of and observe all safety practices.
