Job description
Production SupervisorWe are seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to oversee the production lines in an automotive setting, ensuring efficiency and quality in operationsJob ResponsibilitiesSupervise, lead, coach, and direct team leaders and labor to meet production volume, cost, quality, and schedule targetsManage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provide regular progress reportsPlan headcount for absences, holidays, training, and workshopsComplete daily Attendance Register and ADP data entry for employee time and schedulesConduct standardized work audits and ensure adherence to Standardized Work within the teamCollaborate with Team Leaders to schedule rotation of OperatorsLiaise with support functions to resolve build issues and prevent recurrenceOversee re-work processes as requiredManage the closure of line QRCI's and coach team leaders to independently resolve issuesEnsure team members adhere to the principles of 7 Quality BasicsMaintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, 5S, and good housekeeping practicesPromote continuous improvement in all areas and follow up on improvement ideasConduct disciplinary, return to work, and performance evaluation interviews with team membersValidate operator polyvalence levels and set targets weeklyAssist with additional tasks as assignedEssential SkillsExperience in production supervision, particularly in an automotive environmentKnowledge of union environments, specifically UAWExpertise in production management, safety, continuous improvement, and supervisionProficiency in Six Sigma, assembly, lean manufacturing, and process improvementJob Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Detroit, MI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
