Production Supervisor EIFEmerald Isle Foods LLC - Richmond, VAOverviewSalary Range $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 Salary/year Position Type Full TimeDescriptionPosition SummaryWe are seeking a hands-on Precut Supervisor to lead daily operations within our fresh produce processing area. This role is responsible for supervising the cleaning, preparation, and packaging of fruits and vegetables while ensuring strict adherence to food safety, quality, sanitation, and productivity standards.The ideal candidate is a proactive floor leader who thrives in a fast-paced food production environment and can drive team accountability, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily, weekly, and monthly precut/processing operationsManage production output to meet customer demand and service levelsEnsure proper preparation, cutting, and packaging of fruits and vegetablesMaintain product specifications and minimize shrink/wasteAdjust staffing and workflow to meet changing production volumeEnforce GMP, food safety, and sanitation standards alwaysMaintain cleanliness and organization of the processing areaEnsure facility, equipment, and work areas meet quality expectationsMonitor audit readiness and compliance with company standardTrain, coach, and hold processing staff accountable for performanceProvide daily directions and feedback to production employeesAddress performance or attendance issues promptly and professionallyFoster a culture of safety, quality, and teamworkMonitor processing equipment and escalate maintenance issuesImplement and manage new procedures within the processing areaComplete required production and quality documentationMonitor and respond to company email communicationSupport product development initiativesIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency and workflowPartner with leadership on ongoing process improvementContinuous standing for extended periodsFrequent stooping and bending requiredFrequent lifting/carrying of boxed or bagged produceWork in 45°F refrigerated processing environment for 8–10 hours dailyWork in damp/wet conditions for extended periodsQualificationsMinimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent OR 4 years relevant experience2+ years in a supervisory role4+ years in food processing or fresh produce environmentExperience managing production teams and outputBasic WMS/computer skillsProficiency with Outlook emailUnderstanding of GMP and food safety practicesKnowledge of produce processing proceduresCore SkillsAbility to lead and motivate production teamsStrong attention to detail and quality focusAbility to manage production levels with minimal supervisionStrong commitment to food safety and complianceAbility to maintain proper inventory par levelPreferred QualificationsAdvanced experience in fresh-cut produce or food manufacturingStronger proficiency in WMS or production systemsDemonstrated success driving productivity improvementsBilingual Spanish a plus
