Through the Container, Flat Glass, and Automotive business units, Vitro products reach more than 40 countries, with operating and marketing facilities in eight countries on the American continent.We are seeking an experienced NIGHT SHIFT (7:00PM-7:00AM Rotating Schedule 2/2/3) Production Supervisor to lead our team! In this position you will play a key role directing manufacturing operations in the Elkin, NC plant. Contact us today!Responsibilities:Welcome your team to daily pre-shift meetings, providing communication of important details and engaging informationEnsuring team members are assigned to a position they are trained in and that they have the resources to do their workHolding team members accountable to core safety, quality, and production policies, practices, procedures, and guidelinesAuditing the production areas for compliance with 5S requirementsRecommending improvements to any process, procedure, or practice within the organization to help the team and resultsAccurate and timely completion of payroll, time-off approvals, and communication to team members and payrollPerformance evaluations and training assessmentsAccurate and timely entry of work orders to match production inventoryTaking time to help employees understand not only what is going on each day, but also the whySupporting the team members professionally to achieve their hour-by-hour goalsQualifications:We are looking for a strong people leader who combines solid manufacturing knowledge, team building skills and the ability to assess priorities and act decisively within a fast-paced, demanding environment. It is also important that you display excellent communication and interpersonal skillsHigh School Diploma or equivalent; a relevant degree is highly preferredCandidates with at least 3 years' experience in supervision is requiredManufacturing experience is required, and automotive experience is a plusSchedule flexibility; must be willing to work 12-hour shift rotation, nights, and weekendsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and OutlookTeam building skills are essential to coach and develop associatesVerbal and written communication skillsSAP user experienceProblem solving
