Manufacturing Production SupervisorLocation: Bellevue, WA 98005 Manager is looking for 2 Production Supervisors Is there a possibility this assignment will be extended? YesShifts:Day: 5:30am - 2pm Sunday through ThursdayGrave: 9:30pm - 6am Monday through FridayThe Manufacturing Production Supervisor is a central figure in the production environment, tasked with the management and guidance of production workers to meet set goals and uphold quality standards. Responsible for the coordination of various manufacturing and warehouse functions within a large, complex, and fast paced food production facility to drive maximum financial results and deliver a quality on-time product for customers.Responsibilities:Plan, lead, and direct shift operations and provide appropriate feedback to employees.Build teams and assign accountability.Develop a manufacturing work environment that promotes trust, teamwork, quality, and safety.Ensure production of quality products in compliance with federal, and state guidelines.Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA, EPA, FDA, USDA, HACCP, and other applicable standards.Maintain responsibility for all processes and activities on the assigned shift.Oversee ordering, processing, packaging, and shipping of all plant products and services.Schedule production, crews, materials, and supplies as needed.Plan, delegate, and monitor progress on work assignments and special projects.Manage financial budget targets, including labor, waste, and operational efficiency.Utilize new technology and Lean Manufacturing principles to maximize efficiency.Identify and implement cost-cutting measures.Oversee and perform sanitation-related duties as required.Maintain electronic documentation using SafetyChain.Key Attributes:Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.Ability to motivate teams, provide direction, and deliver clear instructions and feedback.Strong problem-solving skills to overcome operational challenges and streamline processes.Meticulous attention to detail to ensure product specifications and quality compliance.Strong organizational skills for managing labor, materials, and other resources.Thorough understanding of manufacturing workflows, safety standards, and operating procedures.Relevant manufacturing and supervisory experience.Ability to improve productivity, maintain operational efficiency, and ensure seamless shift operations.Role Qualifications:BS/BA degree preferred in a related field; equivalent experience may substitute for education.Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a food manufacturing mass production environment.Minimum 1 year of experience working with Lean Manufacturing principles.Must be available to work varying shifts as assigned.Proven understanding of production, operations, and manufacturing requirements.Ability to direct and manage a diverse, unionized workforce.Ability to manage, develop, and motivate employees.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Proven time management and organizational skills.Willingness to work overtime hours and holidays.Working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Ability to quickly learn and use additional business-related applications.
