Job description
Fabrication SupervisorResponsible for the supervision of employees in the Fabrication function. This role will be responsible for the daily work, training, retention, performance and safety goals. Equally important will be the assistance this role will provide to the Center Manager to achieve positive results in customer satisfaction and key performance indicators, while continuously looking for ways to improve processes and procedures within the operation.Duties and ResponsibilitiesManages all Fabrication warehouse employees (Fabricators, Builders, Boxers and Heavy Hardware pickers) including hiring, training, planning and assigning work, retention, safety, performance and discipline.Works to design career paths and structures expectations for fabrication employees.Collaborates with the Center Manager to ensure output goals are being met and acts as a sounding board for new ideas, process updates and escalation.Prepares daily reports for Center Manager to highlight performance on an ongoing basis.Conducts research, multi-bidding and cost comparisons for large purchases.Assists in ordering raw materials for the multiple departments to stay in control of inventory to avoid stock-outs.Other duties as assignedRequired Skills/AbilitiesDemonstrated ability to lead people and results oriented.Effective time management and planning skills.Strong understanding of quality and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities and prepare action plans to achieve results.Strong team player and group leader.Proficient with measurements, mathematics, fractions and mechanical aptitude.Competent computer skills in Microsoft OfficeSpanish- English preferred.Physical DemandsMust be able to lift glass panels up to 75 lbs. Stand, walk, stoop, bendWork EnvironmentWarehouse setting.ExperienceBachelor's Degree, comparable work experience or a combination of the two.Required ExperienceMinimum five years previous work experience in related industry and management role.
