Production Supervisor MachiningAnchor Fabrication MS Walnut - Walnut, MS 38683OverviewSalary Range $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 Salary Position Type Full TimeDescriptionKey Responsibilities:Help drive a safety-oriented work environmentEnter Near Misses to capture safety issues and concernsHelp ensure employees comply with Anchor Fabrication Safety Policies (PPE, Safe Behavior, Proper Use of Equipment)Help drive a culture for clean, well organized and efficient work environment ensuring 6S and lean principles are sustained throughout the departmentMaintain a quality and safety driven environment that is compliant with the company's vision and goalsHelp drive quality by implementing process improvement initiatives and seeking root cause and corrective actionsHelp maintain a quality driven environment that is compliant with all company certifications and specificationsMonitor the production process and ensure all products meet quality standardsWork to meet attainment goals and comply with a top-down approachWork to improve and maintain a high machine utilization by programming parts across multiple machinesEnsure operators clean machines, tooling and work area at the end of shiftAssist, support and motivate operators to accomplish production goalFoster a team environmentBe a positive influence for team membersSet a good example to motivate your team to perform their bestHave integrity, be honest and humbleCommit to the goalBe present in meetings and actively participateAnchor Fabrication offers an extensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity and short and long term disability. Anchor Fabrication also offers a matching 401(k) plan with Empower.QualificationsMinimum Required Qualifications:2 years proven experience as a machinist supervisor of a production teamExcellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to lead and motivate employeesHigh school diploma or equivalentSkills:Basic knowledge of computer operation including keyboard and mouse operation with general knowledge of Microsoft a plusAbility to read and interpret blueprintsAbility to use handheld measuring tools to verify accurate dimension and fit of partsBasic knowledge of, and the ability to apply standards of measurement including standard, metric and decimalBasic knowledge of, and the ability to interpret metal types, common thickness, and tensile propertiesOperate equipment in area as needed after proper training (machines, forklift, bander, pallet jack, powered and handheld tools, etc.)Must be highly motivated with a desire to work in a fast paced, quality centered environmentPunctual and dependable attendance recordPhysical Demands:Ability to stand for prolonged periods of timePosition may require bending, kneeling and stoopingExposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, and chemicalsAnchor Fabrication is committed to providing access, equal opportunity and reasonable accommodation for individuals with disabilities in employment, its services, programs, and activities.
