This role is responsible for leading hourly production employees, driving safety, quality, productivity, and delivery performance while developing a high-performing team culture. This position is also responsible for effectively managing cross-functional relationships with other departments to support effective use of manpower, materials, and equipment, as well as productivity improvement initiatives.This position leads a team of approximately 27 employees on our 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM). The ideal candidate enjoys being on the manufacturing floor, coaching employees, solving problems, and driving safety, quality, and productivity performance in a fast-paced production environment.Core Competencies:Customer Focus: Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of both internal and external customers.Integrity and Trust: Recognized as a direct and truthful individual who can communicate candidly in an appropriate and constructive manner.Planning: Establishes objectives and goals; breaks work into actionable process steps; develops schedules and action plans; measures performance against goals and evaluates results.Drive for Results: Consistently achieves and exceeds goals; maintains a strong focus on delivering business results.Building Effective Teams: Brings individuals together to form high-performing teams and clearly defines team success.Continuous Improvement: Identifies opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency through Lean Manufacturing principles and problem-solving techniques.Managing Vision and Purpose: Communicates a clear and compelling vision, gains support from others, makes the vision accessible and actionable, and inspires individuals and teams to achieve shared objectives.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:A result driven individual who has demonstrated ability working in a high-performance manufacturing environmentExperience utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and root cause analysis methodologies to improve safety, quality, productivity, and overall manufacturing performance.Ability to drive KPI-based performance, including safety, quality, productivity, scrap, and delivery metrics while developing and coaching production team members.Must be able to manage multiple tasks and deal easily with competing prioritiesAbility to motivate, communicate and drive continuous improvementCritical thinker, with strong analytical abilitiesStrong planning, leadership, and administrative skillsQualifications:3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.Strong MS Office and systems backgroundPrevious leadership experience as a Production Supervisor, Team Lead, Lead Operator, Shift Lead, or similar manufacturing leadership role preferred.High school diploma or GED required
