See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality:Position Overview:As part of the talented production team, you will be responsible for leading the production area to the successful achievement of safety, quality, cost, delivery, and people goals. This role plans and coordinates work activities, obtains resources for production success, and manages approximately 40 to 50 hourly production associates, Group Leaders, and Crew Leaders. The position ensures products are built to USCG, ABYC, and Sea Ray engineering specifications and standards, and utilizes quality data to drive continuous improvement.At Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.Essential Functions:Own safety culture, including incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actionOwn and monitor metrics across safety, quality, cost, and deliveryManage approximately 40 to 50 hourly production associates, Group Leaders, and Crew LeadersLead and execute the training program for hourly employees in conjunction with Group Leader and Crew Leader rolesCreate and execute work schedules in coordination with Group Leaders and Crew LeadersEnsure material delivery reconciles with the correct day in process, including warehouse kits, wood, fiberglass, vinyl, and related materialsEnsure products are built to USCG, ABYC, and Sea Ray engineering specifications and standardsEnsure all pertinent data is collected and documented, including part weights and serial numbersUtilize quality data to drive continuous improvementInterpret and enforce company policies, rules, and regulations in a consistent manner; act as a liaison between management and the workforce to maintain the highest possible level of employer-associate relations; ensure practices are fair, consistent, and aligned with company valuesDemonstrate a culture of communication, collaboration, and recognition while treating everyone with dignity and respectSet and communicate high expectations clearlyRecommend and initiate personnel actions, including selections, promotions, transfers, performance evaluations, terminations, counseling, and disciplinary measuresEnsure safe working conditions and good housekeeping are maintained while meeting quality and cost requirements; train and engage associates in improving safety practicesWork with support functions to ensure all processes are under controlProvide leadership, focus, direction, and coordination to Group Leaders, Crew Leaders, and production employeesDelegate daily work changes and coordinate out-of-station work as neededManage department budgets, including chargebacksLead Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) initiatives in the spirit of continuous improvementCollaborate with the engineering team on Lean Six Sigma (LSS) continuous improvement projectsLead 5S activitiesCoordinate product movementPerform other duties as assignedDiversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)Minimum of 4 years of manufacturing supervisory experienceSpecific area expertise may be required based on jobAbility to analyze data and understand metrics and systemsStrong communication skills, including written, oral, and listeningEffective leadership and management skills to motivate employees, build relationships, and drive initiatives throughout the facilityAbility to work as an effective team playerAbility to provide effective associate communications through a variety of methodsAbility to work with confidential information and maintain strict confidentialityMust be flexible to work extended hours to support the requirements of the businessPreferred Qualifications:AA or BA degreeComputer skills with Microsoft Office SuiteWorking Conditions:Must be flexible to work extended hours to support the requirements of the businessThe hiring range for this position is $54,300 - $71,000 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary based on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate's qualifications and the business context.In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
