Production SupervisorVoyager is an innovative defense, national security and space technology company committed to advancing and delivering transformative, mission-critical solutions. We tackle the most complex challenges to unlock new frontiers for human progress, fortify national security, and protect critical assets to lead in the race for technological and operational superiority from ground to space.The Production Supervisor will be located onsite in Minden, LA and reports through to the Plant Superintendent. This role leads day to day operations at Voyager's black powder manufacturing facility, overseeing the safety, training, and performance of hourly production employees while ensuring schedules and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate pairs hands-on manufacturing experience with strong leadership skills to drive a safe, efficient, and continuously improving production environment.Essential functions of this role include:Leading day to day production operations and activities, organizing labor, assigning tasks, and driving output to meet key performance indicators and the production schedule.Enforcing safe work practices by ensuring team compliance with standard operating procedures and all safety, PPE, and material handling requirements.Providing hands on training and daily coaching to production employees on processes, equipment operation, and quality requirements.Ensuring operators have the tools, materials, PPE, and equipment needed to safely and efficiently perform their work each day.Monitoring production activities in real time, troubleshooting issues, resolving problems, and escalating larger or systemic concerns to the Plant Superintendent.Leading shift-level communication, ensuring employees understand daily expectations, production goals, and any changes to work instructions.Conducting performance reviews, supporting employee development, and promoting cross training to maintain a flexible, capable workforce.Driving continuous improvement and compliance by supporting 5S/kaizen initiatives and participating in root-cause investigations and corrective actions.Basic qualifications include:High school diploma or equivalent.5+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills, with the ability to develop others.Demonstrated ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and execute production activities.Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot operational issues.Ability and willingness to operate production equipment as needed to maintain the production schedule.Ability to obtain and maintain required state and federal explosives licenses, including background checks and drug screening.Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment, including exposure to physical demands, machinery, and explosives.The good faith base salary rate for this role is $70,000 - $85,000 per year at the time of this posting. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive.
