Production SupervisorHeating & Cooling Products manufactures and distributes superior quality sheet metal products since 1955. These products include pipe, elbows, boots, rectangular duct, duct fittings, wall stack, oval, black stove pipe and fittings, spiral pipe, spiral PVC pipe and fittings for the HVAC professional. These products serve the residential, multi family, and light commercial HVAC markets.Job DescriptionPosition Summary:We are seeking a skilled and motivated 1st Shift Production Supervisor to join our manufacturing team in Mount Vernon, OH. In this critical role, you will oversee department production operations, ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, and leading a team of production workers.Work Environment:The work environment is representative of those an employee would encounter while performing the essential job functions in a warehouse environment which may include loud noise levels, vibration, hot/cold temperatures, and moving objects or vehicles.Essential Job Functions:Support safety policies and procedures within the plantSafety accident investigation and reportingMaintain a clean and safe plantResponsible for meeting shift production goalsConstantly evaluate productivity and current staff to optimize production efficiency and meet schedulesProvide continuous feedback in an environment that fosters open communicationManage production schedules, employee performance, payroll, attendance, time cards, training and disciplinary actionsResponsible for shift schedule to include: work station assignments/rotations, shift paperwork, time cards and production sheetsResponsible for quality control, make adjustments as necessary during shift to produce product within specifications, reject product outside of specificationsOperate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)Communicate with other Shift Supervisors and Plant ManagerSchedule and conduct shift meetingsFollow all Company policies and proceduresRegular attendance is essentialOther duties as assignedQualificationsSkills and Abilities:Professional in all communicationMust exhibit time managementProfessional, detail oriented, and dependableEmployee and customer drivenEducation and Experience:High school diplomaExperience in a manufacturing environmentMinimum of 5 years' experience in a supervisory positionAdditional InformationThe above job description is meant to describe the general nature and level of work being performed; it is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required for the position.
