Production Supervisor - Snack FoodsSalary: $80,000 - $95,000 per yearLocation: Chicago, ILOur client, a global food manufacturing company, has an immediate need to attract a Production Supervisor to lead their team in Chicago. Base salary is expected to be in the $80K to $95K range plus bonus and world class benefits.How you will contribute:You are a key ingredient in helping us change how the world snacks. You will operate and maintain equipment to build technical mastery and to deliver on safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets, understanding losses in your area and taking the appropriate action to eliminate them. You will use autonomous and progressive maintenance standards to maintain equipment and support new product development. In this role, you will ensure that safety processes are observed, that quality assurance activities are performed to ensure zero harm and 100 percent good-quality products, and that resources are properly allocated and available during the shift. You will take the lead for shutdown maintenance, root-cause analysis, stops reductions loss analysis and breakdown elimination.What you will bring:A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career. You will bring experience and knowledge in:Autonomous maintenance (AM) Step 4 systems and progressive maintenance (PM) Step 3 systemsMaintaining equipment at basic conditions independently, including the execution of AM & PM (break-down maintenance, planned maintenance) standards on dedicated equipmentTotal productive maintenance and Six Sigma including qualification of AM steps 5-6, and PM step 3Leading line teamsHandling challenging interpersonal situations tactfullyInfluencing people in a union environmentCommunicating effectively verbally and in writing and good attention to detailEducation / Certifications: Bachelors requiredWork schedule:Fri, Sat, Sun (12 hours shift) 5pm - 5amMon - Fri (1st, 2nd, 3rd shift) flexibility working in weekendMust Have:3–5 years manufacturing/production experience1–2 years supervisory/lead experience (led 15+ people)Safety knowledge present, like LOTO, GMP, BOSSome technical fit, like TPM, SAP/ERP, quality systemsSome quantified results — any numbers showing impact is a positive signal (full benchmark formula not expected from everyone)Resume is coherent, role-appropriate, and shows progressionContinuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing experienceFMCG or Packaging is must
