Job description
Production SupervisorWe are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing and material handling operations in a production environment. This position is responsible for supervising employees, ensuring production goals are met, promoting workplace safety, maintaining quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.Job DutiesSupervise daily production and/or material handling operations to ensure efficient workflow and on-time deliveryAssign work, monitor productivity, and support employees in achieving performance goalsTrain, coach, cross-train, and develop team membersParticipate in hiring, performance evaluations, corrective actions, and other employee-related processesPromote employee engagement and maintain a positive work environmentMonitor quality, productivity, delivery, and operational performance metricsMaintain production tracking systems and ensure timely follow-up on production issuesLead and support process improvement and operational efficiency initiativesCommunicate effectively with employees, managers, and support departmentsEnsure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and quality standardsConduct safety training, support incident investigations, and implement corrective actions as neededSupport Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, Kaizen events, and waste reduction projectsPerform additional supervisory and operational duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing environment requiredPrevious supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing preferredDemonstrated ability to lead employees and achieve operational resultsStrong leadership, coaching, and employee development skillsExcellent verbal, written, and presentation communication abilitiesStrong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsKnowledge of ISO quality standards, OSHA regulations, and Lean Manufacturing principlesSAP experience preferredAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentSkills & AbilitiesTeam leadership and employee developmentProduction planning and workflow managementContinuous improvement and process optimizationConflict resolution and decision-makingSafety and quality managementPerformance management and accountabilityPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and move throughout the production facility during the workdayAbility to work in a manufacturing environment around machinery and equipmentAbility to occasionally lift and move materials as requiredAbility to safely perform supervisory responsibilities on the production floorScheduleFull-time positionMonday through ThursdayHours: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PMOvertime on Fridays as neededBenefits of the PositionStable full-time employmentLeadership and professional development opportunitiesTeam-oriented manufacturing environmentExposure to Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiativesCareer growth and advancement opportunitiesIf you are an experienced manufacturing leader with a commitment to safety, quality, employee development, and operational excellence, we encourage you to apply.
