Production SupervisorSuwanee Plant - Suwanee, GA 30024OverviewPosition Type Full Time Job Shift 2nd ShiftDescriptionPrice Industries Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor (2nd Shift) for its growing US office and manufacturing facility located at our Suwanee Plant in Suwanee, Georgia. This position will manage the production activities within their department, and will be responsible for overall performance of the manufacturing department including Production Schedule, Delivery performance, Resource planning, allocation and utilization, Quality and Safety Improvement.Responsibilities:Improving the Efficiency and Utilization of the Production DepartmentQuality of the products built and effective resolution of quality issuesIdentifying problem root cause and implementing corrective and preventive measures to ensure no repetitionUtilize functional support departments to resolve quality issuesIdentify and resolve Safety concernsBring multiple product lines together to meet the manufacturing plan for the week.Ensuring work instructions, procedures and policies are being followedMotivating department members through involvement, communication and positive reinforcementProvide employees with feedback through formal and informal Performance EvaluationsMonitor attendance and take disciplinary steps as required up to and including terminationDealing with grievance and conflict in a calm, controlled and professional mannerManpower planning and effective staffing, which includes operators and lead-hands.Ensuring effective training and cross trainingMentoring and developing lead-hands so they can manage the hour by hour manufacturing operationsDriving continuous improvement within departments to achieve better quality, efficient productivity and delivery performanceDriving force behind 5SUse Lean Manufacturing and other techniquesEnsure daily shop clean up actions are performed effectively and required daily machine preventive maintenance actions are carried out as requiredQualifications:Work effectively in a multitasking environment and work constructively under pressureDefine problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusionsExceptional leadership skills with a sense of urgency and strong aptitudeCreate accountability and lead by exampleMake sound and timely decisionsDevelop, maintain and motivate a strong teamWork with minimum supervisionMust be organized and detail orientedSolve practical problems and difficult situationsAbility to pass a drug screen and background checkCollege Degree or High School with 5 years of experience3+ years of supervision role with a proven track record in a high volume, multi-product environment preferably in sheet metal and HVACExperience in Lean ManufacturingComfortable in a team-oriented environmentProficient in MS OfficeBilingual in Spanish is highly preferredWork EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, extreme cold and dust.
