Job description
Production SupervisorThe Production Supervisor leads maintenance teams within our MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) operations. Typically coming from an A&P mechanic background, the supervisor oversees day-to-day maintenance, ensures compliance with FAA 145 regulations, manages workflows on multiple aircraft, and supports continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to meet quality and schedule requirements.BenefitsGenerous Paid Time Off (PTO)Paid company holidays401(k) retirement plan with 5% company matchMedical, dental, and vision insuranceCompany-paid life insuranceShort- and long-term disability coverageOngoing training and professional development opportunitiesMinimum Requirements and QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentFive (5) years' experience in heavy aircraft maintenance, including two (2) years in a supervisory capacity, or the demonstrated ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the positionPreferred valid Airframe & Powerplant license; Minimum of A LicenseMust have previous FAA 145 Repair Station experienceProficient in the interpretation of blueprints, technical orders, test equipment used in the work described above, and various aircraft components and systemsHave working knowledge of computer software packages used within the facilityMust be able to demonstrate a sense of leadership under all circumstances and conditionsMust be able to multi-task and manage workflows on multiple aircraftMust be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and overtimeMust successfully pass mechanical, structural, and avionics assessmentsMajor Responsibility Areas and DutiesProvide oversight to ensure maintenance and documentation is in complianceAssign maintenance tasks and personnelEvaluate and estimate maintenance time and costProvide oversight and co-sign with uncertificated mechanicsSign documents for the repair station as noted in the authorized to sign rosterCoordinate maintenance plan with other departmentsIdentify training needs, tools, and special equipment requiredEnsure the responsible mechanic properly executes all necessary work recordsMonitor and update flow plan as requiredSupervise maintenance performed by un-certificated mechanics or personnel unfamiliar with the methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and toolsProvide OJT to crew members as requiredEnsure all parts and materials are ordered as required to maintain scheduleMaintain daily turnover reports for each oncoming shiftMaintain the hangar and aircraft cleanliness at all timesAdditional DutiesPerform all other duties as assigned by the Production ManagerAuthorityMaintains authority over all activities of assigned work crewPhysical RequirementsKnowledge of use of protective equipment and safety protocol related to the possible exposure to dust, body fluids, radiation, chemicals, fumes, vapors, or mists that could potentially affect the health of the employeeKnowledge of use of protective equipment and safety protocols related to handling hazardous materialsKnowledge of fall protection requirementsAbility to withstand exposure to constant or intermittent loud/high noise levelsAbility to have close vision or clear vision at 20 inches or lessAbility to have distance vision or clear vision at 20 feet or moreAbility to have depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships)
