Production SupervisorValmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Production Supervisor position for Ok Operations. We are looking for a highly driven individual that will supervise, train, motivate and mentor Valmont production employees and manage the production process of Valmont products.Schedule: Friday to Sunday 5AM-5PMImplement and assign work schedule to maximize utilization of manpower, machines, and equipmentAnalyze setup time and ensure accuracy, review labor hours, and meet production control schedulesDefines expected production standards and monitors performance standards of assigned personnelEnsure inspection checks and quality assurance are occurring to produce high quality productsAdminister and support company policies and procedures in a fair and consistent mannerThis position reports to Operations Manager and could have up to 45 direct reportsObserve assigned personnel to ensure proper operation of assigned equipmentPromote a continuous productivity improvement climate that encourages suggestions for improvementTrain new employees about organizational activities and safety policies and proceduresAdminister and support company policies and procedures in a fair and consistent mannerHigh school diploma and 7+ years of relevant experience or Associates Degree with 5+ years relevant experience or Bachelors with 3+ years of relevant experienceStrong leadership skills and the ability to support divisional objectivesThe ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive mannerThe ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issuesThe ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manualsA strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft OutlookA proven record of supervisory experience and must have strong leadershipThe ability to calculate figures such as pay changes for employees, proportions and percentages, and product dimensionsExcellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skillsMuch be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional resultsWork is performed in a factory setting, with most of the time being spent moving around different areas of manufacturing and shipping areas. The incumbent is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time, as well as talk and listen on the phone and in personal conversations or meetings. This position will be exposed to all hazards located at manufacturing sites including noise, fumes, excessive heat/cold, dust, welding arc, all chemicals associated with the manufacturing areas, fire, smoke, unstable debris and confined spaces. Environment is fast-paced and demanding most of the time. This position will require long days to support the Quality initiative for a multi-site, four shift, seven day a week operation.The employee is frequently required to use hands to fingers, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms while working in the office with various files and forms and while working on the computer. Incumbent must utilize proper ergonomic safeguards such as monitor height and positions, keyboard location and height and proper wrist rests. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds in working with large files, binders, computer equipment and shop equipment.
