Job DescriptionJob Title: Production Supervisor (2nd Shift: 2:00pm - 10:10pm)
Department: BAL Operations
Reports to: Production Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Production Supervisor to lead our Final Side operations along side the Subside Production Supervisor, overseeing a team of approximately 10 employees. This role is responsible for driving productivity, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a safe, team-oriented work environment in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, and develop a team to meet daily production goals and performance expectations
Plan, schedule, and assign personnel to ensure efficient production flow
Monitor production performance, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements
Enforce standardized work, quality procedures, and safety protocols
Maintain a safe and organized work environment, ensuring proper use of PPE and equipment
Train team members and ensure required skill levels are achieved and sustained
Collaborate with quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to resolve issues and improve processes
Support production needs by adjusting priorities and stepping in as needed
Oversee staffing of machines and processes to ensure optimal efficiency
Manage employee time, attendance, and scheduling through ADP
Coordinate jig changes, first-piece verification, and communication of quality alerts
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in an automotive or JIS environment
Strong understanding of standardized work, quality systems (IATF 16949), and manufacturing processes
Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and build a strong team
Solid problem-solving and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
Working knowledge of basic math concepts (fractions, ratios, proportions)
Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer use
Forklift and First Responder certification (or willingness to obtain)
Education:
Associate degree preferred
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours)
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
Flexibility to work weekends and rotating shifts as needed
