Job description

Job Overview

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating daily manufacturing operations, within the MOV Manufacturing plant, to ensure safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost objectives are achieved. This role provides direct leadership to production employees, ensures adherence to company policies and procedures, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and develops a high-performing workforce.

Hours: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 5:00am-5:00pm - Monday 8:00am-4:00pm (Temporarily)

Training will be done on 1st shift

A Day In The Life

Lead and supervise hourly production employees to achieve daily production goals

Plan, organize, and assign work to maximize labor, equipment, and material utilization

Monitor production performance and adjust resources as necessary to meet customer requirements

Coordinate staffing, overtime, and shift coverage to maintain operational efficiency

Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Conduct safety observations, investigations, and corrective actions as needed.

Ensure proper housekeeping and adherence to 5S standards.

Partner with Quality personnel to address defects, nonconformances, and process improvements.

Drive employee accountability for quality and workmanship.

Coach, train, and develop employees to improve performance and increase skill levels.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular feedback.

Address attendance, performance, and behavioral concerns in accordance with company policies.

Foster employee engagement and maintain positive employee relations.

What will help you thrive in this role?

Education

High School Diploma or GED required.

Associate's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.

Experience

3-5 years of manufacturing experience required.

Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong leadership and team-building skills.

Ability to coach, motivate, and develop employees.

Effective communication and conflict-resolution skills.

Strong organizational and decision-making abilities.

Profiecency in Microsoft Suite

Physical Requirements

Continuously works in hot and humid environment for extended periods of time

Must be able to work safely in close proximity to strong electromagnetic fields

Must beable to remain on feet or walking 90% of the time

Frequently lifts materials up to 50 pounds

Ability to be exposed to loud noises, dusty conditions for extended periods of time.
