Are you an experienced manufacturing professional who enjoys leading people, solving problems, and keeping production moving? Stevens Industries is looking for a Production Team Lead to help lead our manufacturing team and keep daily operations running safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
This is more than a job on the production floor-you'll play an important role in developing employees, improving processes, maintaining quality, and helping our team succeed.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead, motivate, and support production team members while providing training, coaching, and feedback.
Assist the Production Supervisor with daily production activities and workflow.
Monitor production goals, quality, and efficiency while identifying opportunities for improvement.
Troubleshoot production issues and help develop solutions to keep operations running smoothly.
Promote a safe, clean, and productive work environment and ensure safety policies and regulations are followed.
Monitor product quality and make adjustments when needed to ensure specifications are met.
Lead daily safety checks of equipment, including forklifts, conveyor equipment, and designated areas of tractor-trailer and over-the-road trucks.
Train and cross-train employees in other production positions as needed.
Work closely with Engineering, Logistics, Quality, and other departments to maintain a smooth workflow.
Help implement continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
WHAT YOU BRING
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a production team.
Strong understanding of production processes, equipment, tools, and materials.
Knowledge of quality control, inventory management, and lean manufacturing principles.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new responsibilities.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.
