Job description
Testing Team CoordinatorThe Testing Team Coordinator supports the Supervisor in leading day-to-day operations within the electrical testing area. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate testing of electrical equipment by maintaining workflow, supporting test stations, and resolving issues that impact productivity or quality.The Coordinator plays a key role in troubleshooting test failures, ensuring adherence to electrical test procedures, and coordinating with Engineering and Quality to drive timely issue resolution and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain continuous flow of electrical testing by identifying and eliminating bottlenecksSupport and fill in at electrical test stations as needed (functional, high-voltage, and system testing)Ensure all testing is performed in compliance with safety standards and established proceduresTroubleshoot and assist in diagnosing electrical and functional test failuresEscalate recurring or complex issues to Engineering, Quality, or leadership as appropriateVerify test equipment is operational, calibrated, and ready for useMonitor test output, cycle times, and first-pass yield to meet production targetsIdentify material, wiring, or component issues impacting test performanceCoordinate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Production) to resolve issues quicklyDrive adherence to workmanship standards, documentation, and testing protocolsSupport Lean initiatives and continuous improvement efforts within the testing areaPromote a strong safety-first culture, especially around electrical hazardsQualifications Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED4+ years of manufacturing experience, with exposure to electrical assembly or testingPreferred QualificationsPrevious lead, trainer, or coordinator experienceHands-on experience with electrical testing (e.g., continuity, hipot, functional/system testing)Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagramsExperience troubleshooting electrical systems or componentsSkills & CompetenciesStrong electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of electrical safety practices and standardsAbility to prioritize and adapt in a high-volume, fast-paced environmentEffective communication across production, engineering, and quality teamsAbility to support and direct workflow on the production floorAttention to detail with a strong focus on quality and accuracyPhysical & Work EnvironmentAbility to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted; up to 100 lbs with assistanceAbility to work with electrical test equipment, hand tools, and material handling equipmentProlonged standing, walking, and working in a manufacturing environmentExposure to varying temperatures and production floor conditionsAdditional InformationOvertime and schedule flexibility may be required based on production needsUp to 10% travel may be required
