Conducts observations to identify safety issues and follows up as necessary with appropriate team members.Works with the Production Supervisor to ensure vacancies are covered for any planned/unplanned.Establishes and monitors shift performance for safety, quality, and production standards.Fill out production paperwork accurately and monitor output goals around efficiencies, downtime, inventory, and overall production.Works with other team members to control and improve efficiency, minimize labor overtime, downtime, and repair expenses.Promote shop floor organization, plant housekeeping, with employees utilizing lean techniques such as 5S with shift personnel.Acts as the first point of contact for operators regarding mechanical failures or production issues.May conduct tooling components inventory reviews to ensure proper tools and/or parts are available for use in the event they are needed.Performs other duties as assigned.Key Responsibilities:Supervision and Leadership:Oversee and direct the work of other team members.
