Job description
Production TechnicianWe are seeking a Production Technician for our manufacturing facility in Bellingham, WA. Our technicians will learn how to build a variety of different products, and how to use the machinery and tools within the shop. No experience is required within the industry to apply, but we are focused on hiring team players that work well with others and have high expectations for quality work. We are focused on building high quality components that go in Boats, Emergency Vehicles, and Work Trucks. Our team is dedicated to our work and to building one another up. The work not only challenges us to improve and learn new skills, but also motivates us to keep growing as a business.Production Specific Responsibilities:Assemble products with consistent speed and accuracyEnsure production requirements and standards are met consistentlyOperate tools correctly and maintain them with careMaintain a maximum efficiency rate and collaborate with other team members as part of ongoing lean production efforts to optimize processesClean and maintain a safe work areaObserve all safety guidelines, including no cell phone use outside of breaks and lunch timeFollow all written and verbal instructionsMaintain on-time attendance requirements and communicate in advance, when possible, any personal needs that conflict with work commitmentsMany assembly processes require dexterity and working in close proximity with other team members to maintain lean workflowNo harsh language and respectful of teammatesQualifications and RequirementsFlexible schedule (Monday through Friday hours may vary between 7:00 am to 3:30 pm)Basic math, reading, and writing skills, and basic computer skillsAble to stand for extended periods (Egis Mobile Electric production lines are a standing work environment with fatigue pads where appropriate)Able to lift 40 pounds on an infrequent basis.Must be willing to be cross trained across multiple assembly processes and work functions.Experience working in a fast-paced production environment is highly desired, but not necessary.
