Production TechnicianAir Liquide is hiring for a Production Technician in Bloomington, TX!We are looking for you!Join our dynamic team at Air Liquide as a Production Technician where the production technician is responsible for maintaining plant production, operating efficiency, regulatory compliance, and safety.Job Duties:Apply your understanding of plant safety rules, regulations, and company safety policies/procedures to protect the team.Foster a shared safety culture by being safety minded; models supportive safety practices.Work safely and conscientiously in all situations.Identify potential maintenance needs; enter them into the work order maintenance management system (Maximo) to ensure ongoing reliability.Perform all work in alignment with standard operating and maintenance procedures, utilizing current Life Safety Training skills and safety requirements including safe work permits, energy control isolation and IDLs, confined space entry work, hot work, work plans, pre-job discussions, plant safety inspections, etc.Partner with contractors, visitors, and co-workers to support compliance with company safety policies/procedures. Issues safe work permit documentation and performs lock-out tag-out of equipment.Ideally, you will grow your knowledge and ability in all plant operations including processes and equipment.Bring an interest in instrumentation and mechanical systems.Learn and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), corporate procedures; read and interpret blueprints, flow charts, process piping ISOs, simple schematics, P&IDs, electrical schematics; perform basic math operations.Keep accurate records and remain diligent in documentation and record retention policies and procedures.Apply your knowledge and understanding of control board and operator interface computer consoles.Perform operator rounds, water samples, truck loading, and operations PM's.Contribute to and promote high housekeeping and organizational standards.Support additional team needs as requested by Plant Management.All other duties based on business needs.Are You a Match?Required Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent requiredAbility to work extended hours/shift work as business needs dictateValid Driver's LicenseAbility to work 12 hour rotating shifts.Preferred Qualifications:Technical Associates degree preferred2+ years of technical training or operations experienceKnowledge/understanding of instrumentation, rotating equipment and piping systemsFamiliarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants (Process Safety Management, EPA regulations, FDA regulations, state/local regulations)Knowledge in the proper methods of locking out and isolating equipmentAbility to use computers-knowledge of Microsoft Office softwareAbility to work in a team environment; demonstrated self motivated attitudeGood verbal/written communication skills in order to deal effectively with management and external customersQualified in operation of the forklift, man lift and overhead crane is preferredHighly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workPhysical Requirements:Must be able to wear required PPE safety equipment including, hardhat, safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, and FRC clothingFull range of motion; ability to lift 50 lbs.Able to climb ladders, work off elevated platforms/surfacesAble to work in non-conditioned environment for extended periodsAble to enter confined spaces for inspection, testing and workOur Differences make our PerformanceAt Air Liquide, we are committed to build a diverse and inclusive workplace that embraces the diversity of our employees, our customers, patients, community stakeholders and cultures across the world.We welcome and consider applications from all qualified applicants, regardless of their background.
