Job description
Production Technician I & IIMiele Manufacturing Inc. is seeking Production Technicians to join the Assembly team at the Opelika Plant. In this role, team members will perform assigned assembly steps for ovens and/or modules according to detailed specifications, ensuring high-quality production standards and efficient operations.ResponsibilitiesProduction Technician I:Follow detailed work instructions (SOPs) and meet assembly routing timesCross-train in pre-assembly and final assembly operations, including:Mains connectionsContinuous flow heatersFascia and viewing screen assemblyDoor and E-box assemblyMaintain the highest quality standards for all productsFollow all PPE and safety requirementsPerform visual inspections of components (completeness, SKU accuracy, damage)Review work orders, production specifications, and technical instructionsOperate hand tools and basic equipmentProduction Technician II:Meet all requirements of Production Technician IPerform functional testing of assembled ovens using semi-automated test benchesComplete final packaging operations, including final quality checksQualificationsHigh School diploma or GED1–2 years of manufacturing experience preferredAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionBasic computer skills for data entry and system useAbility to safely operate machinery and toolsStrong interpersonal and organizational skillsDemonstrated understanding of production processes preferredStrong work ethic and commitment to qualityAbility to work effectively in a team environmentPassion for continuous improvementAbility to lift at least 50 lbsAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsWork EnvironmentFast-paced manufacturing settingRequires standing, walking, and physical activity throughout the shiftEmphasis on safety, teamwork, and quality
