Job description
Machine OperatorThe Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production machinery to ensure efficient and safe manufacturing processes. This role supports production goals by performing machine setup, conducting quality checks, troubleshooting issues, and carrying out basic maintenance.Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Operation: Operate and monitor machinery in accordance with established procedures to ensure efficient production.Setup & Adjustment: Perform routine machine setup and make necessary adjustments for optimal performance.Quality Control: Conduct in-process inspections to ensure products meet quality standards; report any defects or inconsistencies.Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe work environment.Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve minor mechanical or operational issues to minimize downtime.Collaboration: Work with team members and supervisors to address production challenges and improve workflow.Continuous Improvement: Participate in training and suggest improvements to enhance productivity and quality.QualificationsPrior experience in machine operation or manufacturing preferred (not required).Familiarity with production equipment or specific machinery is a plus.Skills & CompetenciesStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsBasic understanding of manufacturing processesAbility to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and manualsHigh attention to detail with a focus on quality and safetyAbility to work independently and in a team environmentEffective communication skillsWorking ConditionsManufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and heavy machineryRequired use of PPE (gloves, safety glasses, ear protection, steel-toed boots)May require flexible hours, including weekends and overtime based on production needs
