Job description
Production TechnicianAs a Production Technician at Northwest Ordinance Distilling (located in New Albany, IN), you will be responsible for operating bottling equipment, monitoring production processes, ensuring product quality, performing maintenance tasks, and maintaining cleanliness of the bottling area. This role will work in small teams where relationships and teamwork help drive the success of the facility. We operate 24/7, primarily producing and bottling Fireball Cinnamon Whisky and other famous spirit brands, such 99 Brand, Parrot Bay, and Southern Comfort.What You'll Do:Understand and adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures and best practices to ensure quality standards and performance metrics are metPerform equipment set-up, lubrication, changeover, and troubleshoot equipment issues.Operate industrial equipment such as a Forklift. We will train you and certify you on the Forklift.Shift: AWS 2-2-3 (Rotating 2-2-3 schedule. 3 day weekend every other week.Hours: 6:45am-7pm OR 6:45pm-7amQualifications/RequirementsRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED equivalentGood hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for operating machineryStrong communication and teamwork skillsDetail oriented and demonstrated ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracyPhysical Requirements:Ability to pick up and/or move objects up to 50 pounds without assistanceAbility to work on your feet (12 hour shifts), climbing stairs and ladders, bending, kneeling and squattingAbility to work in environments with high noise levels and humid conditions (non-weather)Culture and BenefitsSazerac offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401K, paid time off, and more.
