Job description
Production TechnicianThe Production Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, inspecting, and repairing aerospace components and systems in a manufacturing environment. This role supports production goals by following detailed work instructions, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.Perform testing, troubleshooting, and basic repairs on products and subassemblies.Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to verify product quality and conformance.Operate production equipment, hand tools, power tools, and test equipment safely and effectively.Accurately complete production documentation, inspection records, and manufacturing reports.Identify and escalate quality, safety, or process concerns to supervisors and engineering teams.Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company and regulatory standards.Collaborate with team members, manufacturing engineers, quality personnel, and supervisors to meet production schedules.Adhere to all aerospace, quality, and safety requirements.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Technical school certification, vocational training, or relevant manufacturing experience preferred.Experience in aerospace, aviation, electronics, manufacturing, or assembly environments is a plus.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and assembly instructions.Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.Familiarity with hand tools, precision measurement devices, and test equipment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sarasota, FL. The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
