Job description
Production WorkerThis role focuses on folding, counting, and packaging finished fabric products according to detailed work orders. You ensure each item meets quality standards through visual inspection and prepare products for shipment by following specific packaging and stacking instructions. The position involves regular lifting of up to 30 pounds and requires standing for extended periods in a fast-paced production environment.ResponsibilitiesFold, count, and package finished fabric products into designated boxes according to work orders and packaging specifications.Review work orders carefully to confirm quantities, colors, and specific packaging instructions, including how products must be stacked in each box.Perform thorough visual inspections of all products to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to standards.Follow established production and packaging procedures to maintain accuracy and efficiency.Lift boxes and materials weighing up to 30 pounds throughout the workday while maintaining safe handling practices.Stand for extended periods while performing production, packaging, and inspection tasks.Operate production and packaging equipment and machines as needed, following safety and operational guidelines.Support general labor tasks within the production area, including organizing materials and maintaining a clean work space.Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and adjust to changing priorities.Adapt to different roles within the production area and learn new tasks as required.Accept and apply direction and feedback from supervisors and colleagues to improve performance and work quality.Use simple math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication) to verify counts, quantities, and orders.Essential SkillsExperience working in packaging, production, or general labor roles.Ability to perform accurate visual inspection of products to ensure consistency and quality.Capability to lift up to 30 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.Ability to stand for extended periods while performing production and packaging tasks.Basic machine operation skills in a production or manufacturing environment.Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to contribute to team success.Reliability and strong work ethic, confirmed through references.Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers.Flexibility to move between different roles and tasks within the production area.Willingness to learn new responsibilities and adapt to changing work demands.Ability to take direction constructively and handle feedback professionally.Competence in simple math, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrior experience in a fast-paced production environment.Comfort working around machinery and production equipment.Attention to detail when following work orders and packaging instructions.Strong organizational skills for managing multiple orders and tasks.Commitment to maintaining quality standards and consistent output.Why Work Here?Join a fast-paced production environment where teamwork, reliability, and a positive attitude are highly valued. Comfortable, practical attire suitable for a manufacturing setting is recommended to ensure safety and ease of movement.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of NEW ULM, MN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.00 - $16.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
