Production Worker
Lens Maker I (Production Worker) Lancaster, NY
The production worker role will contribute to specialty contact lens manufacturing on a made-to-order platform. This entry-level role offers comprehensive training and the chance to work with cutting-edge precision equipment in a collaborative production environment.
Responsibilities:
Operate computerized contact lens manufacturing and lathing equipment, manual polishing machines, and optical blocking equipment
Perform lens deblocking, product inspection, packaging, and shipping
Maintain accurate lens identification and traceability throughout all process steps
Record and report production data and observations
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and government regulations
Maintain clean, organized workstations and follow safety practices
Coordinate daily tasks with supervisors and team members
Use enterprise production systems to manage orders and workflow
Handle incoming materials, replenish supplies, and assist with equipment maintenance
Participate in periodic business-related projects and support continuous production improvement
Occasionally work overtime as required
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent or GED
Basic computer skills and strong verbal/written communication skills
Strong math skills are a plus
Good hand-eye coordination for handling small parts
Medical device manufacturing experience a plus, but not required
