This role is responsible for operating filling and packaging equipment, labeling, and palletizing finished goods while maintaining accuracy and safety standards. The production worker ensures products are prepared and handled efficiently to meet quality, production, and delivery expectations.Key Responsibilities Include:Follow written work orders (PWTs) to produce and package various productsOperate and monitor bottle-filling, sub-assembly, and labeling equipment safely and efficientlyGather raw materials, assist with line setup, and produce samples for quality inspectionUpon quality approval, fill, label, pack, and stack products onto palletsReport defective materials, quality issues, or equipment concerns to the supervisorMaintain clean and organized work areas and follow all prescribed safety proceduresPerform routine preventive maintenance on assigned machines as neededComplete production tasks in alignment with daily schedules and prioritiesSafely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment, performing pre-use inspections and reporting maintenance needsPackage and label bulk materials for replenishment orders when requiredFollow direction and adapt to changes in workload or schedulingParticipate in department meetings and required training sessionsSupport continuous improvement initiatives by applying 5S and Lean principlesPerform other duties as assigned to meet production and customer needsEducation:High School Diploma or GEDExperience and/or Training:No prior experience required; training will be providedFamiliarity with quality and safety procedures in a production environmentBasic mathematical understanding for production measurements and countsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to read and follow written instructions, work orders, and safety documentationStrong attention to detail and commitment to safety and product qualityMechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting abilityTeam-oriented mindset with effective communication skillsReliability, adaptability, and willingness to learn new systems and processesBasic computer literacy and ability to learn production systems such as JD EdwardsPrevious experience in production, assembly, or manufacturing environmentsFamiliarity with Lean principles or 5S programsExperience operating forklifts or other production equipmentPhysical, Mental, Environmental Demands:Lift and carry up to 70 lbs. occasionally and push/pull drums up to 400 lbs. with equipment assistanceFrequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shiftOccasional climbing of stairs or laddersManual handling of equipment, bottles, and raw materialsAbility to stay focused in a repetitive task environmentAttention to detail and ability to follow production instructions accuratelyProblem-solving and decision-making within defined proceduresFlexibility to work overtime or weekends based on business needsWork performed in a manufacturing and warehouse environmentExposure to varying temperatures, including extreme heat during summer monthsMay work in high-traffic areas with moving machinery and forkliftsPPE required including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed shoesAt Ascentek, we are committed to providing accurate and up-to-date information about our career opportunities.
