General ProductionDoherty Staffing Solutions is hiring General Production workers for a food processing company in Spencer, Iowa. In this role, you'll help process and package food products while supporting efficient production operations in a team-oriented environment. Read below for more information!Scoop meat products from an electric conveyor belt and place them into packagingAssist with operating dumpers, grinders, mixers, and conveyor systems after trainingPackage products and prepare finished goods for shipmentPlace packaged products onto pallets for storage and transportationComplete required processing, quality, and maintenance documentationFollow food safety, quality, and workplace safety procedures at all timesAbility to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and perform physical tasks throughout the shiftAbility to lift up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds occasionallyAbility to understand and follow verbal and written work instructionsComfortable working in refrigerated environments ranging from approximately 28°F to 38°FComfortable working around meat products, including blood and fat byproductsWillingness to follow all safety procedures, including JSA, LOTO, food safety, and machine-specific requirementsEntry-level candidates welcome; training provided for equipment operationEnjoy weekly pay, access to health coverage options through Benefits in a Card (including preventative and minimum value plans), and temp-to-hire opportunities for long-term stability where applicable.
