We're extremely proud of our portfolio of brands, our achievements in sustainability and industrialization and the groundbreaking work accomplished by our people.While reporting to the production supervisor, you will be responsible for but not limited to working safely, attention to quality, supporting the machine operators by packaging product, driving fork truck, recycling cores and paper scrap, training for and filling in for machine operators. Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success.What you will be doing:Responsible for safely and efficiently assisting machine tenders or others with the physical requirements of the assigned operationsRequire operating small hand-type or less complicated equipmentRemoving tubes from overhead dryer chain conveyorLoading tubes on trucks and labeling them properlyPlacing scrap on carts to be hauled awayInspection and packing tubesOther essential duties as assignedWe'd love to hear from you if:You must be reliable, have good initiative, committed to working safely and quality focusedPrevious forklift experience is beneficialExperience working in an industrial / manufacturing environmentYou can easily lift up to 50 lbs. as neededYou will need to effectively work with a team in a fast-paced environmentYou will need to read and understand manufacturing instructionsYou will need to perform repetitive duties, including standing for long periods of timeYou will need to have the ability to work quickly while maintaining a high level of craftmanship and attention to detailAt Sonoco Products Company, we offer a comprehensive total rewards package, including competitive pay and benefits.
