We're looking for highly-skilled craftsman who can "do it all" while taking excellent care of our customers.This is a commission based role and we are seeking professionals with the mindset to upsell additional services to support our client needs. Repeat business and referrals are a cornerstone of our client relationships and our Service Professionals are those front line ambassadors.As an experienced carpenter, you have strong proficiency in at least three (3) of the following:Carpentry work including doors and window installationsBathroom / Kitchen improvementsProject Leadership, "can you run a team on a project?"Painting, both inside and outDrywall work, minor and major repairsFloor installation and refurbishingDecks and fence repairsHere are just a few of the benefits you'll receive when joining the Mr. Handyman team.Company-supplied van with gas card (assuming no driving suspensions for 3 years)A back office that takes care of filling your schedule, so you don't have toAn office team that answers all calls and helps you take care of the customersYour own iPad and technology support for using our state-of-the-art internal system, ServiceTitanAnd so much more…Your responsibilities as a carpentry professional include:Completing maintenance & repairs – You'll be completing small to medium maintenance and repairs for home and commercial projects. The project length can range from two hours to two days.Making recommendations and managing expectations with customers – You'll communicate with customers to help them understand what they need to have done and manage expectations about the scope of work and costs.Create life-long customers – Deliver a great experience that wows life-long repeat customers. You will follow the Mr. Handyman Way - a repeatable process that makes it easy to wow the customer every time.What we want from you:Consultative mindset, helping solve problemsExcellent communication skills and ability to drive teamworkTeam success depends on everyone.Being part of the solutions we provide with highest qualityContinuous learning personalityTo succeed in this role:You'll need to self-manage as you'll potentially be servicing a client solo.You'll need to speak with customers and provide excellent customer service while asking for reviews and collecting payments.Have a business mindset, we are a licensed GC, let's do the big jobsYou'll need to have the necessary tools, including the ability to use technology.You'll need to document the job while following our process, the Mr. Handyman Way.You'll need to wear proper PPE as well as booties to protect our customer's home.Job requirements:Live within the area, Broward County is required.Have 8+ years' experience as a paid carpenterOwn your own toolsBe insurable for driving our vehicle (no license suspensions past 3 years)Complete a background and driving record checkAble to lift 50 pounds independentlyAble to safely work at heights and work overhead for extended periods of timeProfessional appearance and maintenance of company-provided vehicleBenefits & Pay:The pay range for this position is $28 to $35 and is dependent on your experience as a professional handyman, your ability to hit revenue and review targets, as well as your experience with other home repair and maintenance projects such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and drywall.5 paid company holidays annually5% matching on 401K1 paid sick day quarterly1 week, paid vacation after 1 yearRemember, we're looking to hire only the best.
