The founder envisioned a company with a hands-on management style, a property management company that would be directly involved with all aspects of providing a comfortable, affordable living environment for our residents.Position Overview: We are in search of trained professionals who specialize in copper and galvanized plumbing needs and piping of various properties, such as multifamily apartments, and commercial buildings. Work includes travel to various job sites to diagnose and solve plumbing issues. Plumbers respond to emergencies like burst pipes and perform routine maintenance to keep plumbing systems safe and functional while preventing future problems like leaks or rusted pipe fittings. Plumbers source the right materials to help company maintain their plumbing, enabling appropriate drainage and water flow for indoor and outdoor areas, they may enter crawl spaces to solve problems with pipes and make sure they connect properly to indoor plumbing fixtures like water heaters, toilets and sinks.Essential Duties:Carry out regular maintenance of plumbing systems at commercial and residential sitesRe-piping from galvanized to copper plumbing systemsPerform installation of plumbing systems at new propertiesInspect previously installed plumbing systems at commercial and residential sitesPerform any necessary repairs to previously installed systemsAnswer calls for plumbing issues from general contractorsKeep up to date with current safety regulations and requirements for the various plumbing systems a company installs and maintainsWork carefully to follow all current regulations for plumbing work to ensure that all installed systems pass inspectionsCommunicate well with clients to ensure client satisfactionCommunicate well with team members and fellow employeesManage a work logKeep detailed reports of work done at various job sitesProvide information regarding plumbing system upkeep to clientsFollowing safeguards, rules and regulationsCollateralPerform other tasks and special projects as required.Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalentMin. of 2 years painting experienceMust provide own transportation; ability to provide own tools a plus.Car travel required;Proof of valid driver's license, vehicle registration and auto insurance required;Prefer one or more of the following certifications; plumbing license, EPA certified and certified in Osha safety requirements;Proven ability to safely operate power tools;Willing to work overtime and/or weekends when necessary a plus;Must be professional and costumer service oriented, with the ability to deal effectively with unsatisfied tenants;Excellent written/verbal communication skills, including the ability to express thoughts clearly and exchange information with others;Bi-lingual Spanish a plus;Able to work in a fast-paced environment;Ability to work independently with little or no supervision while using common sense;Ability to efficiently troubleshoot and assess a problem;Ability to follow directions and take initiative;Excellent time management skills including the ability to be highly organized and detail-oriented;Maintains a safe working environment;Able to endure and experience temperature changes;Able to lift and or carry up to 20 pounds above shoulder level on a frequent basis and team lifting above 50 pounds when necessary;Ability to walk, stand, climb, stoop, bend, kneel, and or crawl;Ability to work in small, confined workspaces.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily.
