Job description
SUMMARY
Leads an internationally recognized research program in cancer neuroimmunology and symptom science, conducting translational research to define tumor-neural-immune interactions and improve cancer outcomes and symptom burden.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Research - 90%
Lead a research program in cancer neuroimmunology focused on tumor neural immune interactions and symptom science.
Utilize advanced methodologies to drive mechanistic and translational discovery.
Publish high impact research, secure sustained extramural funding, and maintain strong national and international visibility.
Mentor trainees and build collaborative, interdisciplinary research programs.
Education - 5%
Teach and develop graduate and medical education in neuroimmunology, cancer biology, and translational science.
Mentor and supervise students, fellows, and research staff across training levels.
Contribute to curriculum development integrating mechanistic and patient-centered research.
Administrative - 5%
Lead and manage research operations, personnel, and funded programs.
Contribute to institutional service, committees, and strategic initiatives.
Foster interdisciplinary collaborations aligned with departmental priorities.
