Job description
Profiling/Flooring Machine OperatorWe're looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Profiling/Flooring Machine Operator to join our production team in Clarion, United States. In this role, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our flooring profiling line equipment, ensuring consistent quality output while maintaining a well-organized and clean workspace. You'll work collaboratively with maintenance personnel and fellow operators to support continuous production operations and drive operational excellence on our manufacturing floor.Safely operate, set up, and adjust profiling and flooring line equipment according to production specifications and customer requirementsMonitor and manipulate computer software systems to track orders, input data, and manage production line operationsPerform routine maintenance and cleaning of all machinery and workspaces within your assigned area of responsibilityIdentify and analyze conditions that may lead to substandard quality or equipment downtime, and initiate appropriate corrective actionsDocument production issues, quality concerns, and equipment performance on required logs and reportsConduct troubleshooting of equipment malfunctions and work collaboratively with maintenance personnel to resolve issues efficientlyAssist other machine operators and maintenance staff with equipment repairs and preventive maintenance activities as requestedMaintain excellent attendance and punctuality, including flexibility to work rotating 12-hour shiftsAdhere to all safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and plant regulations to ensure a safe work environmentCommunicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production status, equipment concerns, and process improvementsProficiency in basic computer skills, including the ability to understand and operate production line software programsDemonstrated ability to set up, operate, troubleshoot, and adjust profiling equipment and related machineryStrong attention to detail with the ability to identify root causes of production issues and document findings accuratelyPhysical capability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly and perform repetitive motionsAbility to bend, lift, stand, kneel, and move for extended periods of time on the production floorComfortable working on a concrete production floor and utilizing stairs and elevated work areasHand and finger dexterity to operate equipment, tools, and control systems safely and effectivelyExcellent attendance record and demonstrated reliabilityWillingness and ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidaysStrong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset to address production challengesCollaborative approach to working with team members and maintenance personnelCommitment to following safety protocols and standard operating proceduresPreferred: Previous experience operating production line equipment or flooring/profiling machineryPreferred: Experience with equipment troubleshooting and preventive maintenance activitiesWHAT YOU WILL GET As a company dedicated to its associates, we offer numerous benefits and advantages: - Growth opportunities, domestic and international, with the world's leading producer of wood panel products - Work in a diverse, inclusive environment with colleagues from around the world - You enjoy highly competitive benefits program including affordable medical, dental and vision plans - Company paid life and short & long term disability plans - Supplemental life, critical illness and accident plans for you and your family - 401 (k) retirement plan with company match - Paid time off including a generous paid vacation plan and holidays after 90 days - "Life of Career" training opportunities through our global or local KronoAcademy - Uniform & reimbursement for safety boots & prescription safety glasses and company provided tools
