Job description

Program AssistantLaSalle Network is partnering with a leading academic institution to hire a Program Assistant to support a high-volume, faculty-facing department. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team within a university environment, offering exposure to faculty operations, communications, and special projects. This role is ideal for someone with experience in higher education who enjoys working closely with faculty and academic leadership. We're looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities while serving as a key point of contact for faculty.Program Assistant Responsibilities:Serve as a primary point of contact for faculty, managing ongoing communication and support needsCoordinate and manage faculty-related processes, including faculty appointments, credentialing, and privileging documentationTrack and manage high-volume requests while ensuring accuracy and timelinessSupport department communications, including drafting newsletters, announcements, and internal updatesPartner with leadership on special projects and process improvementsUtilize internal systems (such as PeopleSoft or Oracle) to support data entry, updates, and workflow managementProgram Assistant Requirements:Prior experience in higher education, healthcare, or a professional services environmentExperience supporting academic programs, faculty, leadership, or administrative operations preferredStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with a variety of stakeholdersComfort working with databases and systems; experience with PeopleSoft, Oracle, or similar platforms is a plusAbility to work independently while collaborating with a broader teamProfessional, adaptable, and proactive approach with a strong attention to detailKey Details:Compensation: $23-25/hr based on experienceLocation: Chicago, IL (Streeterville area)Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hoursThis is a contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential within the organization
