Program AssistantThe Goddard School® located in Fuquay-Varina is seeking a passionate Program Assistant to help our Administrative Team in a supporting role. This would require a highly motivated, energetic individual with the flexibility to work varying shifts as needed between opening and closing, with good communication skills, in a fast-paced environment. We will be holding interviews this week and next week!No Nights or Weekends!!!Key Responsibilities:Curriculum and Instruction:STEAM based innovative curriculum, Wonder Of Learning lesson plans are already prepared and very easy to use, and funFoster a love of learning through creative and engaging teaching methodsActivities are adjustable to the interest and needs of the childrenClassroom Management:Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environmentManage daily routines and transitions smoothlyAddress behavioral issues with positive guidance and supportHealth and Safety:Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the classroom and common areasAdhere to all health and safety guidelines and proceduresSupervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure their safety and well-beingProfessional Development:Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunitiesStay current with best practices in early childhood educationCollaborate with other teachers and staff to share ideas and strategiesWhat We Offer:Competitive hourly wageMonthly bonus based on specific criteriaPaid time off and holidays for eligible staffNo nights or weekendsProfessional developmentFlexible schedulesQualifications:Some courses completed in Early Childhood Education or related fieldPreferred-Not required- NCECC (Credentials), or EquivalentCurrent Qualifying Letter/ Ability To Obtain A Qualifying Letter- (North Carolina requires this- candidates who are offered a position receive instructions, this process involves a making an appointment for a criminal background check and receiving a letter which typically takes about a week to ten days but some individual circumstances can vary).1-2 years of previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferredExperience with classroom management of medium to large groups of toddlers to preschool aged children, depending on the age of children could range from 12 to 24 with a co-teacher, and from 5 to 13 at times by yourself, depending on ages.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of childrenIf you're an energetic, nurturing person looking for a supportive and fun workplace, join us!
