Job description
Just Family Center, a part of the Sevita family, provides home and community-based services including day programs for elders with complex medical or rehabilitative needs, attendant care and case management. This allows seniors to obtain quality healthcare while remaining active and involved in the community and continuing to live in their own homes. Our programs are staffed with qualified, experienced licensed nurses and caregivers who are trained to provide individual assistance to each person we serve.
Program Assistant
Location: Burkesville, KYSchedule: Part-TimeWage: 11/Hr
Would you like to make a difference every day in someone’s life? As a Program Assistant in our Adult Day Program, you’ll provide meaningful support and play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for the individuals we serve.
Position Overview
Provide care and support to health-impaired older adults and individuals with brain injuries, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and behavioral or mental health diagnosesAssist with the development and implementation of individual and group activity programsSupport daily living activities including personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, meal preparation, and medication administrationPromote independence by teaching life skills, encouraging self-advocacy, and building self-esteemEnsure the safety, security, and well-being of individuals in a structured day program settingAssist with participation in community-based activities and social engagementFoster positive relationships and encourage social interaction

To be considered for this position, all requirements below must be met:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent requiredMust be at least 18 years of ageMinimum one (1) year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred (experience with older adults is a plus)Current physical (within the past 12 months) and annual TB test requiredCPR and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain)Knowledge of vital signs, weights, and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) preferredStrong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skillsA caring, compassionate attitude with a dedication to supporting othersReliable, responsible approach and commitment to quality care
