Program AssistantThe Saratoga Regional YMCA is hiring for a Program Assistant and we are excited to have you join our team! This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Provides support, instruction and motivation for youth sports participants. Creates a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals and promotes safety in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.Job perks include a fun, interactive atmosphere, competitive pay, and a free YMCA membership!Essential functions include leading and/or assisting with the instruction and supervision of all practices, ensuring the safety and well-being of each child under supervision, maintaining records as required, organizing and putting away needed class equipment, conveying information on youth programs and schedules, identifying and celebrating the successes of members and program participants, following all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, building effective relationships with members and program participants, and knowledge of and commitment to the mission of the YMCA.Requirements include a minimum age of 15 years old, ability to furnish working papers, 1+ year of previous sports team participation experience, and current CPR PRO & First Aid certifications preferred.The SRYMCA is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, domestic violence victim status or any other characteristic protected by law.
